Sinhala Bible is a Scripture reading and study website. This policy explains what information is used when you visit the website, save Bible content, or choose to sign in.

Information we use

• When you sign in with Google, we may receive your name, email address, profile image, and a unique account identifier through our authentication provider, Supabase.
• The Bible content you save—such as bookmarks, highlights, reading progress, Bible notes, and sermon notebook entries—may be stored so it can be available across your signed-in devices.
• Before you sign in, or when cloud synchronization is unavailable, some preferences and saved Bible data may be stored locally in your browser.

How we use information

We use this information only to authenticate your account, operate the website, preserve your settings, and synchronize the Bible content you choose to save. We do not sell personal information or use Google account data for advertising.

Sharing and service providers

We use Google for optional sign-in and Supabase for authentication and secure data storage. Information may be processed by these providers only as needed to operate those features. We do not share your personal information with advertisers.

Website analytics and cookies

If you select “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics may collect information such as pages and sections viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source, and visit duration. This helps us understand and improve the website. Analytics is not loaded until you consent, and we do not send your Bible notes, saved Scripture, sermon outlines, email address, or Google account information to Analytics. You may change your choice at any time using Cookie settings.

Data security and retention

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect account data. Saved information is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Browser-local data remains on your device until you remove it or clear your browser storage.

Your choices

Google sign-in is optional. You may use the reading features without connecting a Google account. You may sign out at any time. To ask for your synchronized account data to be corrected or deleted, contact us using the address below.

Children’s privacy

Sinhala Bible is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, please contact us so it can be reviewed and removed.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the website’s features or service providers change. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
